NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION

IN THE BEGINNING
This initiative started as a one-woman show in 1996, and in December of 2005, I would stay for one month at a time, taking with me donations to assist those in need. The aim was to provide as much assistance to as many children in need as humanly possible.
THE SERVICE
We donate wheelchairs, canes, rolling/standard walkers, quad canes/straight canes, rollators, school
supplies, wheelchair cushions, modify wheelchair seating, hand rests, or assist with changing the tires for
wheelchairs. We also help the classroom teachers modify the environment to become fully functional for
the children, focusing on those who use wheelchairs, walkers, or canes. It will then make it easier for the
students to get to and from the classroom. We work to transform the working environment into more user-
friendly ones and make the necessary adjustments to school facility devices and equipment to help
students become more successful in their studies.
We make scheduled visits to schools, nursing homes, rehab centers, hospitals, health centers, dormitories,
golden age homes, and infirmaries.
THE CAUSE
In 1995, I started giving back to adults and children who were less fortunate in Jamaica by collecting used
clothing items to donate to parents in need. In 2005 the donations started getting larger, where I started
receiving diapers, wheelchairs, and other equipment that would help the elderly and children function in
any space.
In 2015 the organization was registered as a 501c organization. We started to get other therapists on
board, such as Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Rehab
Aides, and students.
OUR SHORT STORY
THE PURPOSE
We are a non-profit organization
that provides both occupational
and physical therapy to disabled
children in schools, adults in
rehab centers, and the elderly in
the community. We modify the
learning environments, educate
staff and aides who work with the
students, and provide resources
that help them become more
functional and independent in
the classroom, on the
playground, and in their everyday
surroundings.
We provide donations to those in
need, educate staff on the
various ways they may
incorporate programs into the
learning routine, and make their
time at school more manageable.
Our team includes Nurses,
Occupational Therapists, Physical
Therapists, students, and
volunteers.
